The Giraffe CCTV platform allows you to view and control all elements of your deployable CCTV system remotely. This includes LiveView and all the tower accessories. In this document, you will see how to view the camera live as well as control a PTZ camera and also how to control any device accessories.
When you first log in to your ONVP dashboard you will see all of your cameras for your current team load up. If you are on a different page you can navigate back to this page by clicking on the “Live” tab in the menu bar.
To view just one camera click on the* icon *in the bottom right-hand corner of the camera image you will load that camera into full-screen mode.
You can control a PTZ camera by either clicking on the screen, the camera will centre on the location that you click or by using the arrows in the bottom right-hand corner of the camera image.
You can zoom in or out by clicking on the magnifying glass with a + or - (the middle empty magnifying glass will allow you to reset the zoom)
When you load the camera into full screen it will automatically upgrade to HD, however, if the internet connection where you are viewing the camera or where the camera is located is not strong enough you may need to downgrade the camera to SD. You can do this by clicking on the cog icon at the bottom of the screen and changing the quality to SD.
From here you will also be able to control the device accessories such as the speaker, siren, strobe or floodlights.
The pin icon will allow you to select a pre-saved position. This can be useful to leave the camera in a set position after you have viewed it or easily take a look at points of interest on your site.
